I capture the forms and textures hidden within everyday life, layering them and letting them change.
Using printmaking as a starting point for making paintings, I try to cross the feel of what I have touched with the afterimages of what I have seen, and bring them up onto the surface of the canvas.
The images that emerge appear as faces, landscapes, or living creatures.
This exhibition is a record of an adventure born between sight and touch.

Naito Yoko
Born in 1985. Born in Chigasaki, Kanagawa, where she still lives and works.

After leaving high school, she began teaching herself to paint in a wide range of techniques, including oil painting, Japanese-style painting (Nihonga), and printmaking. She has held approximately 40 solo exhibitions.

日常のなかに潜むかたちや手触りを写し取り、 重ね、 変化させる。

版画を起点に絵画を制作する方法を通して、 触れたものの感触と、 見たものの残像を交差させ、

それらを画面へと立ち上げる試みです。

そこから生まれるイメージは、 顔や風景、 生き物のように現れます。

1985年生まれ  神奈川県茅ヶ崎市出身  在住。 

高校を中退した後、独学で油画、日本画、版画などの多様な技法での絵画制作を始める。 個展開催数約40回。
