秋葉生白 Seihaku Akiba

あきばせいはく　1954年東京生まれ　書家
成城大学で西山松之助に江戸文化史芸術論を学ぶ。古美術、現代美術など長年の研鑽と美意識を基礎に、紙だけではなく木に直接文字を彫り込むなど「祈り」をテーマに独自の新しい書を表現し発表している。

主な活躍

Born in Tokyo in 1954. Calligrapher.Studied Edo cultural history and art theory under Matsunosuke Nishiyama at Seijo University. Based on his long years of study of antique and contemporary art and his aesthetic sense, he has been expressing and presenting his own new style of calligraphy based on the theme of "prayer" by carving letters directly into wood as well as paper.

NHK's stellar titles for "Musashi," "Shinsengumi," "Yoshitsune," and other historical dramas

2004
Dedicated to the 800th anniversary of Suwakata Shrine by dedicating "Kami no Mei" (divine authority) to the shrine.

2007
Bozu "Seijyubashi" from the photo collection "Reviving Memories of the Showa Era" by Mr. Sumi Sonobe.
